Built for the way AI finds answers.
An AI assistant can only cite a page it is allowed to open, can read, and can understand. Here is what that takes, and what every Bloting page does about it.
- Permission to read
- Your publication's robots.txt names the crawlers AI search engines use and lets them in. Crawlers that only collect training data can be turned away separately.
- Text it can read without running scripts
- Pages are sent as finished HTML. The writing is in the page itself, not assembled in the browser.
- A clear idea of what the page is
- Each page carries structured data: title, author, publication, and when it was published and updated. Headings, lists and tables are real ones.
- A way to find every page
- A sitemap and an RSS feed are published for you, an llms.txt index can be switched on in Discover, and search engines are told when a page goes live or changes.
- Something worth quoting
- Drafts open with a direct answer, and the pre-publish check flags thin, repeated or placeholder text. Source links are tested and labeled.
- A named author and dates
- Your name, photo and profile are on the page, with the publish and update dates readers and machines both look for.
Then you can check whether it worked: Discover counts the visits that actually arrive from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot.
No one can promise that an AI system will cite a page, and we don't. What we can do is remove every reason for it not to.
Turn attention into opportunity.
